Overwhelm · June 2026

Why do I feel overwhelmed all the time?

A gentle look at why overwhelm can build when you have been carrying too much for too long.

Feeling overwhelmed does not always arrive as a dramatic moment. Sometimes it shows up as difficulty concentrating, a short temper, constant tiredness, or the sense that even small tasks feel heavier than they used to.

This can happen when you have been adapting for a long time without enough rest, support, or space to process what is happening. Your mind and body may be responding to pressure rather than failing you.

Counselling can offer a place to slow things down and notice what has been building beneath the surface. Putting words to your experience can make it easier to understand what feels urgent, what feels stuck, and what support may help.

If this feels familiar, you do not need to wait until things get worse before reaching out for support.
